Description: This entity describes an area in a residential neighbourhood that is distinctive from its surroundings and is considered to have a quality worthy of retention. These areas have modified, or additional rules to the standard living rules in the District Plan that recognise and protect their special nature. This entity is referred to in the District Plan as a Character Area. Note: A DPResidentialCharacter area may be formed from several discontiguous geometries, all sharing the same residential character name (e.g. where a DPResidentialCharacter area is divided by the road corridor). This entity is intersected with RatingUnit to enable generation of property condition comments. It is spatially abstracted to an Area Entity Type: Concept.
